Add or manage a team introduction video

A team introduction video gives candidates optional human context before they apply. RoleSage supports one YouTube or Loom introduction per team and shows it on every public opening assigned to that team.

The written job advertisement must remain complete without the video. There is no per-opening video switch: replace or remove the team video when it should no longer appear on that team's public openings.

Before recording​

Aim for about 60 to 120 seconds. Useful introductions usually cover:

  • who the speaker is and how they relate to the role;
  • what the team is responsible for;
  • how the team works together day to day;
  • what the working environment is genuinely like;
  • one honest detail that the written job advertisement cannot show well.

Do not use the video for unsupported promises, confidential information, compensation or conditions that differ from the opening, or claims about employment outcomes.

Before saving the video, confirm that every person who is shown, identifiable, or heard has explicitly consented to the video being publicly posted on every public RoleSage opening assigned to the team.

The consent should cover this public use. Approval to record a meeting, share a clip internally, or post it in a private workspace is not enough. Do not rely on silence or a manager's approval on someone else's behalf.

Also confirm that:

  • each participant understands that candidates and other visitors may view the video;
  • the provider link may be accessible to anyone who receives it;
  • accurate captions are available and have been checked;
  • the employer has permission to publish any music, images, logos, or other included material;
  • the video contains no confidential candidate, employee, customer, or company information.

Keep any supporting consent record according to your organization's privacy and records policy. If anyone does not consent, remove them from the video or do not publish it. If consent is later withdrawn, remove or replace the video promptly.

Add the video​

You need permission to manage the team.

  1. Open the employer Teams area and select the team.
  2. Expand Team Introduction Video.
  3. Set the YouTube or Loom video so anyone with the link can view it.
  4. Paste the YouTube or Loom link.
  5. Check the Meet the team preview.
  6. Complete the public-consent and caption confirmation. RoleSage does not enable Save until this confirmation is checked.
  7. Select Save introduction.

The video then appears automatically beside About This Role on public openings assigned to the team. Candidates choose whether to play it; RoleSage does not autoplay or load the third-party player before they do.

Replace the video​

Paste the replacement YouTube or Loom link and review the preview. A new or replacement link requires a fresh confirmation because the people, content, captions, and public-use consent may have changed.

Saving the replacement updates all of the team's public openings. It is not copied separately into each opening.

Remove the video​

  1. Open the team's Team Introduction Video panel.
  2. Select Remove introduction.
  3. Confirm that it should be removed from every public opening assigned to the team.

Removing a video does not change the team, role, opening, or written job advertisement.

If the video does not appear​

  • Confirm that the opening is assigned to the expected team.
  • Confirm that the video was saved after the consent checkbox was selected.
  • Check that the YouTube or Loom link is still available to anyone with the link.
  • Open the role or opening Details area and use Team intro video or Manage team video to return to the owning Team page.
  • Remember that the feature may not be enabled in every environment.

If the provider link works but the RoleSage preview or public card does not, contact support@rolesage.com with the team and opening names. Do not email private provider credentials or unpublished video files.
