Applicant match band looks wrong

Symptom

A candidate appears in a match band that feels too high or too low for the opening.

How RoleSage weighs matches

RoleSage match bands are based on the role and candidate evidence across skills, salary, experience depth and recency, values, profile strength, and hirer questions. Skills carry the largest weight, but the other dimensions can move a candidate up or down.

The band is a decision aid. It is not a final hiring decision.

Fix steps

  1. Open the candidate match detail and review the evidence behind the band.
  2. Check required and must-have skills on the role.
  3. Check salary, location, and seniority constraints.
  4. Review whether the candidate profile has enough evidence for the role.
  5. If role requirements are wrong, update the role or opening and rerun analysis where available.
  6. If the candidate evidence is incomplete, ask for more information rather than assuming the candidate lacks the skill.

What not to do

Do not tune the role to force a specific score. The goal is a useful hiring comparison, not a target number.
