Direction, values, or ideal next role are not reflected in matches

Symptom​

Your match analysis does not seem to reflect your preferred role direction, values, work rights, location, salary, or work type.

Fix steps​

  1. Open Preferences and check your country, work rights, preferred cities, role types, work types, salary, and availability.
  2. Open Values and make sure the wording is specific enough to guide matching.
  3. Open Ideal Next Role and describe the role, team, domain, and direction you want next.
  4. Open the application again and refresh or recalculate where the page offers that action.
  5. Review Alignment and Match Analysis. You should see preference and alignment signals more clearly.

What preferences can and cannot do​

Preferences help RoleSage understand fit. They do not override role requirements, missing skill evidence, salary mismatch, or hirer questions. If the role itself is outside your stated direction, the analysis may still show a lower match band.
