Context prompts for hirer analysis

What context prompts do

Context prompts let hiring teams add reusable background for RoleSage analysis. They help the product understand how your company, team, and role evaluate evidence.

They are useful for:

  • role analysis;
  • applicant summaries;
  • interview preparation;
  • shortlisting discussions;
  • explaining why a candidate may or may not fit a specific opening.

Good context

Good context is concrete, durable, and tied to hiring decisions:

  • what the team builds or operates;
  • which skills are required versus teachable;
  • how seniority is assessed;
  • what constraints matter for the opening;
  • what values or working patterns are genuinely important.

Troubleshooting

If analysis feels generic:

  1. Check whether the opening has the intended company, team, and role context attached.
  2. Replace vague statements with examples of strong or weak evidence.
  3. Keep the context focused on the role rather than the entire company history.
  4. Save the changes and rerun the analysis where the page offers that action.
  5. If multiple openings share the same issue, update the shared company or team context rather than editing every role separately.

Access

Only users with the right employer permissions can manage shared context. If you cannot see the context prompt settings, ask an employer admin to review your access group.
