Application rejected or response message missing

What the status means

Rejected means the hiring team decided not to progress that application. It does not remove the application from your RoleSage account.

The hiring team's internal reason and notes are not automatically shown to you. Any Potential Improvements guidance in the application is general preparation for future applications, not a statement of the hiring team's exact reason.

Find the hiring team's message

If the hiring team sends a response through RoleSage:

  1. Open Applications.
  2. Open the rejected application.
  3. Look near the application details for a message showing its subject, body, and publication time.
  4. Check your email inbox for the same response.

A response scheduled for later is not shown in the application before dispatch begins. Older rejections or applications handled outside RoleSage may not have an in-app message.

If the email did not arrive

  1. Check spam, junk, quarantine, and promotions folders.
  2. Search your mailbox for "RoleSage" and the employer name.
  3. Confirm that the email address on your account is correct.
  4. Open the application again to check for the in-app copy.

See Not receiving RoleSage emails for more checks.

If no message is shown

The hiring team may have contacted you manually, scheduled a response that has not started, or recorded an older rejection before in-app responses were available. Contact the hiring team if you need clarification about its decision.

If the page itself is failing to load or a published message disappears, contact support@rolesage.com with the application, employer, and approximate time you saw the issue. Do not send sensitive documents by email unless support asks for them through an approved channel.
